Ok so you know the Harajuku Lovers perfume that Gwen Stefani (love her btw) launched? Those adorable baublely dolls atop ridiculously small amounts of perfume but so cute that you want to buy them all right?

Well don’t. They’re a deceitful bunch and they all smell wretchedly gross. I touched the bottles, which are somehow covered in their smell from messy testers, and now my left hand smells like I’ve been digging through old people’s clothes. Yuck. Blegh. I’m terribly disappointed.

But someone simpley MUST tell me where I can find the model’s hair accessories. Don’t tell me I have to buy and decapitate each perfume bottle one by one…

A slouched/slouched look pinned only at the top. Marvelous.

Just look at these:

ruffle, wrap, bonzie, esty, couture, bridal, bolero, shrug

Aren’t they breathtaking? From Bonzie Design Label, an Irish brand, these lovely ruffled wraps exude that captivating look of couture with those high collared ruffles. Simply exquisite. My DIY fingers are itching to be rid of my final exams, go home, and fiddle away with trying to recreate something similar from some leftover fabric…

No, I will not become one of your soulless drones, dress myself in your twisted black and white vision, or randomly flash your mug DE-faced bags in front of my face you evil evil man! Who are you to cover my image with your own? You will not meat-grind-Pink-Floyd me good sir, I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE!

Sorry about the rage, but this bag infuriates me. I’ll give him that it’s a clever idea, but it’s so…ugly.

Dolce and Gabbana, Lanvin, 3.1 Phillip Lim

I’m going pink crazy right now; everything this semester has been rather dreary and the color alone is lifting my spirits. I’m totally in love with the idea of going head to toe in it; a monochrome look that was popular in spreads for skirt suiting last fall.

I didn’t really notice how strong of a look this was until I realized that I couldn’t take my eyes off of any outfit that utilized only one color (exhibit Lanvin, center). It also happened when I was at Express and fell for these, though I didn’t try them on due to no time. The (almost) head to toe pinkness draws you in, it says confidence like pattern mixing just can’t match. I should have realized this sooner; the pink parade will march on, so watch out!

It’s finals week and Kelsey has sent me a wonderful distraction. More hate on crocs, by Steve Tuttle. Steve (we’re on a first name basis due to a mutual dislike) quotes Maddox:

People who wear Crocs go on and on about how comfortable they are, and how it’s supposedly odor resistant because it’s made out of some kind of anti-bacterial foam … You know what else it’s resistant to? You getting laid.

And hilariously, there’s a lot of backlash on this article, condemning him as a baseless fool who writes like a teen rants. I Hate Crocs Dot Com gets a lot of hate as well, so it appears that the croc lovers push back just as much as the dissers.

A lot of people who write in to our site don’t believe in freedom of speech, just the freedom of being able to wear ugly shoes.

All I can do is laugh and agree. I really should have stated my grievance at dinner. Oh well, another year won’t change much. I will still be a croc hater, and proud.

I did. I forgot to enter myself into the Weardrobe “Best Layered Look” since I went home for an Aikido seminar. Doh! Why didn’t I just do it Friday? Why do I keep doing this to myself? Boo!

The simplicity of a steamlined, no frills collection appeals to me as much as a decora one. The trick to wearing distinct blocks of color is make them look continuous; in other words, styled effortlessly. I can’t wait to try the last look.

I look as if I’m channeling Lily Allen with my hair, which is great cause she’s cute, but all wrong because that’s not what I was going for. It just proves further that I need a haircut NOW. It seriously hinders the looks available to me.

It was also cold, so I ended up walking around like this most of the day.

So in the end, I suppose I failed to recreate this look properly (it was more 60’s prim) by:

a) having my hair up instead of big and down (it’s too long and lifeless, boo)

b) wearing the colored tights and jacket (but that’s not my fault, its the weather!)

c) not wearing make up

However, I only care a little since I wore some pretty sick heels.
